Plans are being made for a Moccasin Gathering this summer on the 4th of July!
We do hope that you will be able to come. We are trying to get the word out to Moccasin residents, former residents, and former Moccasin school students and friends, so please send this notice along to anyone you think might be interested.
There will be RV and tent space available, and toilets, but no hook-ups or other services for those of you who would like to spend a few days with us at Moccasin.
On Sunday July 2nd and on Tuesday July 4th, (and perhaps some other times through the week), the Moccasin church will be open for the display of Moccasin community and school memorabilia. If you have something you would like to share, please bring it along! Or send copies of documents or photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org
or to PO Box 139, Moccasin MT 59462.
On July 4th at 2:00 p.m. there will be a graveside remembrance and celebration of the life of Burmah E. Christian at the Moccasin cemetery one mile south of town. Burmah was a life long resident of Moccasin who died last November at the age of 93. Everyone is invited to join us at the cemetery and in Moccasin afterwards for a barbeque, horseshoes, ping pong, and other games, a campfire, a sing along and fireworks, and a long visit with friends. Be sure to wear that very special HAT for the HAT CONTEST! Prizes will be awarded! Everyone is welcome to all or any part of the dayís activities.
It is NOT necessary to let us know in advance that you are coming. There is no registration or fee for this event. However, if you know for sure that you are coming, it would help us in the planning. Send to Susan Ashcraft, PO Box 139, Moccasin, MT 59462

There will be a tent for protection from the weather, tables and seating, but you might think about bringing your own chair for the campfire and sing-along. There will be various BBQ meats prepared by our special chef, salads and drinks provided. Please bring a potluck dessert if it is convenient to do so.

If you are staying a few days with us, here are some things to do between visits with friends, or with them!
The Oxen Yoke Inn at Utica boasts burgers larger than the large buns they are served on!
The Oxen Yoke can be found on the way to the Little Belt Mountains where you can spend a summer day hiking the hills or enjoying the Judith River. The old Judith River ranger station in Middle Fork has been restored and is available for rent through the US Forest Service.
Swimming at Ackley Lake, the Hobson, Stanford or Lewistown Pools
Fishing the lake or the Judith.
Golf in Lewistown. And the fish hatchery is always a fun place to visit.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
